Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province.
The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
Work will soon start on the €1.3 billion project to widen a stretch of the A6 motorway, one of Germany’s most congested highways.
Both sides of the motorway between the Weinsberg and Wiesloch/Rauenberg junctions will be expanded.
On 25 km of the section being expanded under the project – altogether 47.1 km – the number of lanes will be increased from four to six. The project also encompasses the construction of the 1.3km-long Neckartal Bridge.

The local authorities in Ho Chi Minh City are setting plans for the US$229 million project to build the Thu Thiem 4 Bridge. This new link will connect District 2 and District 7 and the project is being handled by investors under a build-operate model. The deal includes arrangements over building plots in Thu Thiem New Urban Area's divisions No 3 and No 4. The bridge will measure 2.16km long and is intended to cut congestion in the city centre and on roads in Thu Duc and Binh Thanh districts to district 7,
