Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province. The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.

Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province.
The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
In Vietnam work is progressing steadily on the new Ca Pass Tunnel project. The 13.4km tunnel will connect Khanh Khoa Province with Phu Yen Province. The new tunnel connection is being constructed under the build-own-transfer (BOT) model and is scheduled to open for traffic in 2016. This new link will also include 9km of bridges and access roads. Some US$192 million of credit for the project is being provided to Ca Pass Investment by Goldman Sachs, Societe Generale (SocGen) and Crédit Agricole Corporate and
Vietnam’s North-South Expressway project will boost transport for both goods and passengers. This is the finding of a report from Vietnam's Transport Ministry. According to the report, demand to move goods along the route will climb to 62.3 million tonnes/year by 2020. Meanwhile the report says that the route will handle up to 45.4 million passengers/year by 2020.
