Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province. The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.

The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
The Vietnamese capital of Hanoi is looking to build 18 bridges and upgrade several city roads into major urban thoroughfares, according the latest transportation development plan.
The People's Committee of Hanoi - the city authority – drafted the US$55 billion plan that focuses on all transportation development from now up to 2030.
Contract types under consideration include build-own-operate (BOO), public private partnership (PPP), build-operate-transfer (BOT) and build-transfer, according to a report

A road widening project worth US$134.3 million is now going ahead in Ecuador. The road connecting Aloag with Santo Domingo is being improved along a 100km stretch, widening the route so that it will feature two lanes in either direction instead of the single lane in either direction at present. This will boost the transport connection between Pichincha Province and Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas Province. The contract was originally awarded in 2015 but stalled in 2017 following a disagreement over tolling.
