Work has begun on constructing a US $ 1.2 billion 144km highway between Zhengzhou and Zhoukou in China. The highway has a designed speed of 120km/hour and a width of 28m.
The world's largest bridge over water is now open to traffic. Measuring over 42km long the bridge links China's eastern port city of Qingdao with Huangdao Island.
Malaysia-based highway operator Projek Lintasan Kota (Prolintas) plans to launch two highway projects in 12 months' time following a US$2.51 billion (MYR 8bn) investment. A British man left his high-value, high-performance Mercedes with a valet parking firm at a UK airport.
