Portuguese motorway operator Brisa to invest 50mn Euro in 2013

Portuguese motorway operator Brisa plans to invest €50 million in 2013. The bulk of the money will go on road re-laying and expanding roads in Aguas Santas and Soure (A1). The investment sum represents a decrease compared to previous years, which is attributed to lower prices in the construction sector.

    Polish road authority GDDKiA has signed a contract with a consortium of Salini Polska, Przedsibiorstwo Budowy Drógi Mostów Kobylarnia and Impreglio for completing two sections of the A1 motorway. The combined value of two sections (Brzezie- Kowal and Czerniewice-Brzezie) stands at over €238.24 million (PLN 1bn). The works are due to start in the second quarter of 2013, with the completion expected to take 11 months on the Czerniewice-Brzezie section, and a year on the Kowal-Brzezie stretch.
