Many manufacturers claim that their machines are “versatile” or “flexible”, even “fast reacting” when working on site. But life shouldn’t be all work and no play. Even excavators and their drivers need a day off for some fun and one New York state contractor, Fastracs, has for three years made the point.
We’ve all had bad days at the office. But sometimes, as in the case of heavy equipment operators, your office is a rather large machine, the ‘bad’ can be disastrous at the least and fatal at the worst.
As this video shows, a machine driver can be literally thrown out of his office if he or she is having a bad day.
At 2:20 into the video, we see the results of what would normally be road rage in any other machine but a material handler.
Near the end of the video, we see how the consequences of a small bump in a warehouse can have big repercussions.
