A Chinese contractor is to build a major expressway link in Nigeria. The contract is for a 15km section of highway. The work will be handled by 890 China Railway Construction.
In China work is commencing on the Mulei-Wutongdaquan highway. The work will be carried out in China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and is costing close to US$2.6 billion. The highway will feature four lanes, with two in either direction and will measure 515km long. The project will form the last section of the Beijing-Urumqi Expressway to be completed.
Italian contractor Salini Impregilo is to carry out a major road construction project in Abu Dhabi. The new road link will connect two of the islands forming part of Abu Dhabi, with the work expected to be complete by 2020. The project is worth US$200 million in all and Salini Impregilo will carry out both the design and building portions of the work involved.
The BICES show is moving. BICES 2019, the 15th China Beijing International construction, building and mining machinery exhibition and seminar will take place at a new venue ... The China New International Exhibition Center.
The new facility offers 200,000m2 of exhibition and meeting room space. BICES 2017 had 1,051 exhibitors and nearly 125,000 visitors and BICES 2019 will see an increase in these numbers, says the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA), one of the main organisers of the event.
