New French bridges

Two new bridges are planned that will span the Durance river in France. They will link the Bouches-du-Rhône and Vaucluse departments in South Eastern France. The new bridges are required as the two existing bridges are no longer sufficient to cope with traffic requirements. The two bridges are scheduled to be ready for traffic in early 2014, and this represents an investment of €52 million.

  • New bridge and road projects underway for Chile

    Strong bids have been received for Chile’s Puente Industrial road bridge project, which will be built in Region VIII. Bidders included Spanish firm OHL as well as Besalco Concesiones-Concesiones Viarias Chile Tres and Sacyr Concesiones Chile.     Whorlton Bridge in England’s County Durham has had to be closed to traffic while a major programme of works is carried out. Every component is to be removed, refurbished and replaced.
