LiuGong expands operations

Chinese firm LiuGong is opening its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore.

Chinese firm 269 LiuGong is opening its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore. The facility will support sales, technical support for Asia Pacific, excluding China. The facility is also the firm's first spare parts distribution centre for Southeast Asia and the Pacific islands. "A significant number of our customers are based in the Asia Pacific region, and we expect a substantial per cent of our business to flow through this centre in the next few years," said Chairman Wang Xiaohua, Chairman, Guangxi LiuGong Machinery corporation. LiuGong expects its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore to generate more than US$50 million in revenues in the first year of operations, with expected annual growth rates of 30%. The office, which will serve Southeast Asia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and other islands in Pacific.
