Italy's five-year infrastructure plan

A five-year plan for infrastructure development is being called for in Italy. Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo says that €250 billion of infrastructure work, including road and airport improvements, will help boost the country’s economy. The bank says that private sources could provide much of the funding.

    The Moroccan Government is increasing its investment in roads and highways by 21% from last year. The country intends to spend US$6.32 billion on improving the road network. A further $14.5 billion is expected from private sources and other funding bodies. Work on the El Jadida-Safi highway project will commence in 2012 and is expected to cost $497million.
