A new range of reflectorless total stations has been developed by 342 Topcon. Called the ES series, the new models also feature TSshield – a Topcon Group innovation using a multi-function telematics-based communication module that locates the instrument. The ES package also gets the longest single-charge battery life in the industry – 36 hours – making it possible to work five full days without recharging.
Swedish bucket tooth, cutting edge and bucket protection producer Combi Wear Parts will introduce adapters, teeth and lip shrouds for excavator buckets in the 200-250 tonne class. Designed for cutting edges of both 120mm and 140mm lip thickness , the adapters are built to work with 60-90kg teeth. The firm has also applied for a patent for a new locking mechanism that will feature on its ProClaws tooth system.
The Fayat Group intends to buy a number of assets from CMI Terex from its road building operations. The purchase agreement covers acquisition of certain product lines in North America, and the road building operations of Terex in Brazil. Haver & Boecker is expanding its screen range with the addition of the Ty-Wire hybrid screen deck and of ultrasound screen decks. Ty-Wire hybrid screens use wire that is covered in polyurethane, providing a greater open area than a standard PU screen but with a lifetime that can be 4-6 times longer.
