Intermat launch for Liebherr wheeled excavators

2012 sees the start of a new wheeled excavator programme from Liebherr, and the A916 represents the first fruit from the project. Replacing the A316 Litronic, the new A916 has been developed to meet Stage IIIB emissions requirements and has an operating weight from 17-18.1 tonnes depending on specification. Power comes from a four-cylinder 110kW engine with common rail fuel injection, EGR and DOC – a DPF is available as an optional extra for those working inside buildings.

2012 sees the start of a new wheeled excavator programme from 718 Liebherr, and the A916 represents the first fruit from the project.

With more power than its predecessor, the A916 packs better hill-climbing ability on the road, reducing travel times between job sites. The machine features a larger fuel tank - 360 litres, up from 290 litres – and the use of LED-type white marker lights and red LED tail lights to bring greater durability and reduced service costs to the machine

Following the success of its 8MCR high-speed compact excavator, Mecalac has developed a larger, heavier model, called the 10MCR. Like the smaller machine introduced in 2009, this new model combines the speed and manoeuvrability of a skid steer loader with the functionality of a midi excavator. Weighing in at nine tones and using a 75kW turbocharged diesel engine, the new model retains Mecalac’s MCR concept and uses a triangular track frame profile, which affords fast travel speeds in both directions usin
