The German province of Baden- Württemberg has issued a list of 20 ready to be built federal trunk road projects worth a combined US$1.01billion (€800mn).The first five could be started in 2014 and the next five in 2015 or 2016.
Morocco’s road network development programme is continuing, with new local roads, trunk roads and motorways being planned. Morocco’s Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics has said a budget of US$9.84 billion is being set to construct 5,500km of roads in the country. The plans call for the building of 3,400km of motorways and a further 2,100km of trunk roads. Around US$2.21 billion (UAH 18bn) will be invested in road construction and repairs in Ukraine in 2013. According to infrastructure minister Vladimir Kozak, intentional financial institutions will account for around $362.49 million (UAH 3bn) of the total investments. The rest of funds will be raised under state guarantees. The most significant individual project sum of $108.74 million (UAH 900mn) will be allocated to building a bridge in Zaporozhye. The Hungarian national motorway company Nemzeti Infrastruktura Fejleszto (NIF) is planning to spend €3.02 billion on rail and road infrastructure projects during this year.
