Bonfiglioli Trasmital has developed a new series of travel drive gearboxes for use in large, heavy duty tracked machines. The firm is now offering three new product sizes, the 722C, 724C and 726C, which extend its range of tracked travel drives. The 722C develops a maximum torque of up to 330,000Nm, making it suitable for use on excavators of 120-150tonnes, as well as cranes and drilling rigs of 180-230tonnes. The 724C develops a maximum torque of up to 450,000Nm, and is specially designed for large cranes

Bonfiglioli develops new series of travel drives
5073 Bonfiglioli Trasmital has developed a new series of travel drive gearboxes for use in large, heavy duty tracked machines. The firm is now offering three new product sizes, the 722C, 724C and 726C, which extend its range of tracked travel drives. The 722C develops a maximum torque of up to 330,000Nm, making it suitable for use on excavators of 120-150tonnes, as well as cranes and drilling rigs of 180-230tonnes. The 724C develops a maximum torque of up to 450,000Nm, and is specially designed for large cranes and drilling rigs of up to 300tonnes. Finally, the 726C transmits a maximum torque of up to 625,000Nm, for use in excavators of up to 350tonnes and cranes and drilling rigs of up to 400tonnes.
Topcon and Komatsu are gearing up their long running partnership to a new level, and which will be implemented on a global basis. Although the firms have been co-operating internationally for some years, this partnership has been particularly active in the European market for machine control technology. Under the terms of the deal, customers will be able to order Komatsu machines that are factory-fitted with Topcon technology. German company Atlas Maschinen and Finnish group Mantsinen have formed a new strategic partnership that will include technical cooperation covering the manufacturing of hydraulic material-handling machines and R&D.
Atlas has its head office in Delmenhorst and plants in Ganderkesee and Vechta, while Mantsinen’s principal place of business is in Ylämylly, Finland.

Furukawa Rock Drill (FRD) has developed the Fx Series of small hydraulic breakers with a scaling version for tunnel use. Using a mono-block cylinder with replaceable wear parts, the Fx Series breakers are said to provide increased power with reduced operating noise. There are four Fx models available with weights of 112-300kg, they are intended for excavators with operating weights of 1.5-7 tonnes.
