Huge numbers of construction machines as well as plant and equipment are working overtime, backed by mammoth manpower, to meet the targeted completion deadline of March 2018 for India’s Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE). The 135km arterial route is being built with six lanes and surrounds India’s National Capital, Delhi, its National Capital Region (NCR) and the industrially developed North Indian states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
In the UK, Colas is near completion of the Thornbury Barracks roundabout aimed to reduce traffic congestion on the A647 highway, the principal link between Leeds and Bradford in the county of West Yorkshire.
Traffic signals have been placed on the junction, with central running lanes constructed through the previous roundabout.

In Uganda bidding is now underway for the new expressway project to improve transport between capital Kampala and the industrial city of Jinja.
